I used canned whole mushrooms and tossed a handful of wild rice with the long grain rice and followed instructions as listed with great results. Very tasty rice dish, thanks for sharing your lovely recipe :)

mmm...delicious and easy. I have made it several times to rave reviews. Note, I tried to use low-sodium beef broth once and it was awful. I'll be sticking to full-salt from here on out. Thanks for a great one!

Very nice side dish. Easy to prepare too. I slowly cooked the onions to caramelize them before adding fresh mushrooms to the saute. Then I added a smidgen of thyme with the broth. My hubby really like this dish and asked me to save some to take in his lunch today. Thanks for sharing.

Very simple rice dish. I used fresh mushrooms and a refrigerated beef base, diluted with water, for the liquid. Perfect serving size for 2 people. baked for 50 min. :)

This was really good and easy to make. My boys ate it up. I followed the recipe exactly as written other then I didn't use butter to saute the mushrooms and I used minced onions. Great side dish.

This turned out fabulous! I added a little more onion than what was called for because I love onions. It also took a little over an hour to cook, but that may be because I used brown rice. Either way it's definitely a keeper and for all to try...excellent flavor! Thanks Engrossed!

I used a medium onion, a package (I think it's 250 g) of fresh mushrooms. One (10 ounce) can beef broth and 5 ounces of water plus beef stock. I didn't have long grain rice so I used basmati rice. Instead of butter, I used canola oil. It's really delicious. Thanks Engrossed :)

I tagged this for the holiday tag game because my DH loves rice and mushrooms. This was a big hit with him! Very easy to make and nice deep earthy flavors. I served with steak that DH cooked on the grill and a salad.

I made this tonite for dinner. I used fresh baby portabella mushrooms and "Better than Bouillon" beef flavor mixed with 15 ounces of water. It had a great flavor and went perfect with grilled teriyaki pork steaks.
