Beef & Pasta Soup

"Hearty soup. Quick and easy. Serve with a salad and bread and dinner is on the table. My adaptation of a recipe from Betty Crocker You can sub ground turkey and beef broth."

  • In a 4-quart soup pan cook beef and onion, over medium heat, until beef is brown; drain.
  • Stir in sauce mix from chicken broth, Hamburger Helper, basil, pepper, and garlic.
  • Heat to boiling, reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Stir in past, peas and mushrooms.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Serve.

  1. very tastey soup,when i made this i had no garlic cloves so i use 1 tsp garlic salt, instaed of mushroom,i used can corn. i like it

I love to cook. Since I quit smoking I have gained weight thus I am into low-fat recipes. The most important thing that I have learned is that if it is low-fat and has no taste why would you eat it. My goal is to have a cookbook filled with wonderful tasting recipes which are low-fat.
