I was just going to post this recipe! This was one of my mom's signature dishes growing up, and she was also a mom of five. The only thing I do different is that I use 1/4 cup of olive oil instead of shortening. Excellent recipe. One of my all time favorites.

  1. Melt shortening in skillet.
  2. Add meat, onion and garlic.
  3. Cook and stir until meat is brown and onion is tender.
  4. Stir in catsup, worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, cayenne and 1 1/2 c.
  5. water.
  6. Place in crock pot and simmer there at least 2-21/2 hours.
  7. Blend flour and 1/4 c.
  8. water and add to meat mixture.
  9. Bring to boil.
  10. Serve over noodles.
