Beef Noodle Bake

- 8 ounces dry pasta, cooked al dente
- 1 lb ground beef
- 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 3 green onions
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
directions
- Brown ground beef (or turkey or sausage or whatever), drain and add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and green onions in a food processor and pulse until onions are chopped to your liking (sauce will turn a luminous shade of green as onions are pulverized).
- In a 9x13 pan, layer as follows: sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, sauce, noodles, sauce. Then sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
