Beef in Ale

- 2 lbs chuck steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 ounces onions
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 15 fluid ounces ale
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 garlic clove
- salt and pepper
directions
- pre heat oven to 180 c.
- seal the meat in a little oil whilst browning the onions,.
- then add the flour and stir untill all the juices are soaked up.
- add the ale stirring all the time than add crushed garlic thyme and bayleaf.
- transfer to a casserole dish with a tight fitting lid and ook for 2 1/2 hours.
- DO NOT remove the lid whilst cooking.
