      Although it took abit of attention to prepare, the onion mushroom mixture was great. I wasn't fond of the way the steak was prepared, I think I would prefer it grilled or maybe put some mixture on top of steak (to meld the flavours) while they finish cooking. I used brandy for the cognac... I'm curious what the red wine would be like so I'll try that next time. Nice recipe, thanks for sharing.

      This was so good!!! What an experience. If you see smudges on this review it is due to my mascara running. I cried the whole time. What ever you do don't fight with your loved one, you will not be able to KISS and make up with all these onions. The onion and mushroom mixture browned beautifully. I found no need to add extra oil due to the mushrooms making their own liquid. The flavor was to die for. I prepared as posted with only one change and that was using only 3 green onions (its what I had on hand). Thanks, DiScharf for posting this tasty dish.
