Was a great and easy recipe. I doubled the meat and it came out great.
I used a few pounds of carne asada that I cut-up, but this recipe could probably use more tomatos, Anaheim chili and salt. Wasn't too bad, otherwise.
Delicious! I recommend using 2 lbs of beef as there was too much liquid for 1 lb. I used a jalapeno and a long hot chili pepper (about 1/4 c total chopped pepper) and ended up with just the right amount of heat. The beer gives a good flavor, we love this recipe!
Great base recipe. I changed it up as follows: <br/>I ground up 4 large chicken breasts (approx 2 lbs) and substituted that for beef, also used 1 medium Red onion, 4 jalapenos sliced, 2 scorpion peppers chopped, 1 whole green bell pepper chopped, 3 tomatoes chopped and 20oz light beer.<br/>The result was a hot (but not too hot) chili with a great flavor. Will make again, but probably use 16oz beer and add a can of tomato paste to thicken the mixture.<br/><br/>Overall, extremely pleased!
So very tasty. I decided not to add the pepper because my children don't like it too spicy, but the taste was just right any way. Will definitely be making this again.
My new chili recipe! I added mushrooms and corn. My hubby loved the meatchunks and mushrooms, but disliked that I added corn. I would have liked it spicier, but my kids don't eat anything spicy.
