When I was little and lived in the country I used to visit an older couple. Once when I was stung by a bee my "adopted grandmother" made this to take away the sting. I've also included directions for getting the stinger out.

Directions

  1. Using a credit card, scrape over where the stinger is; this should get it out easier than tweezers.
  2. Mix just enough water to make a thick paste and apply to area where stinger was.
  3. Allow to sit until the pain is gone.

So funny to see this here! My son was at a friend's house this summer and he got stung on his ear by a bee. The friend's Mom, a doctor, told me she put baking soda and water on it! He was fine. He said it didn't hurt...!!!! I had never heard of this treatment before.
