BBQ Pork Tenderloin in the Crock Pot

"I wanted to make BBQ pork tenderloin in the slow cooker, but not pulled pork. This worked out nicely so I thought I'd post the recipe so I can make it again. Hope you enjoy it too. This was easy to slice, though could have easily been shredded as well. Served with rice to put the extra sauce on, along with a veg (I used peas and carrots). I only cooked 1 pork tenderloin and had lots of sauce leftover so you might only want to double the sauce if you do 3 or more tenderloins I would guess?!?"

Questions & Replies

  1. I don’t have a garlic clove, it says to add one garlic clove. But I Have “ready to use garlic minced in a jar”, how much of that do I add to the recipe.

  2. I forgot to ask, I am new to using a crock pot. Do I need to add any water to this recipe? It won’t be dry?

  3. If I use 2 lb pork tenderloin can I use the same amount of ingredients.

  4. I made this once before and we loved it! However, I'd like to have this as a one pot, (less work) meal. So, how would this work out if I use a pork loin and add some cut up vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots? Would I need to up the sauce ingredients? Thanks!

  5. How much time would I increase for a 4-pound loin

  1. Super easy & with on-hand ingredients! Love it! I had one tenderloin so I made the recipe as written except I was out of soy sauce so I just left that out. The amount of sauce was perfect for the one tenderloin because in the end I shredded it (well, I touched it & it shredded itself. LOL), stirred it all together & then served it in flour tortillas with some roma tomato slices, Mexican 4-blend cheese, green onions & sour cream. Strange combination for BBQ, I know, but we were getting ready to watch football & wanted quick eats & easy cleanup! :D The flavor was outstanding & we spent the day drooling while it cooked. Definitely worth the wait! Thanks for sharing your creation, Babzy!

  3. The grocery store closest to me has these amazing deals on marked down meat. I bought a tenderloin a few weeks ago and froze it; defrosted it end of last week. When things worked that we were out of the house for dinner 2 days in a row I knew things were getting desperate so I cooked it in the crockpot and then put it all in the fridge. Today, 2 days later, we shredded it and heated it up with the leftover sauce and a little bbq sauce from a bottle. Great flavor. Thanks!

  4. I used a 2lb tenderloin. I was planning to slice it into medallions, but after 8 hours the meat was falling apart as I took it out of the slow cooker. I ended up having to shred it instead which turned it into pulled pork (not what I was hoping for). As far as taste it was okay and the amount of sauce was just right.

  5. I used chopped port tenderloin, after 2 hours in slowcooker the meat was tender, off-bone already, very tasty. Next time I will add some dried herbal and opt out vinegar, the ketchup is sour enough for me.
