  • Cook roast until tender (3 hours or so).
  • Let cool and shred meat.
  • Mix sauce ingredients and pour over meat.
  • Cook in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Best when roast is cooked, shredded, and mixed with sauce the day before so flavors blend.
  • Store in refrigerator, then bake before serving.
  • Serve with large, crusty italian rolls.

  1. Tried this today with a leftover eye of round roast. Popped it all in the crockpot. Very good & tasty. Big hit at our house.
     
  2. Loved this recipe....the only thing I changed was to add 4 cloves of garlic and some hot sauce. Also added alittle Adobo and threw it in the crock for 12 hours!
     
  3. Highly recomended!! Easy for the beginner cook if you have the time. Very tasty. I suggest shredding the meat well. Thank you Manda for sharing this recipe.I would give it two thumbs up.

I am a single gal, living on my own; currently working as an Occupational Therapist & living in Cumberland, MD. (It is "God's Country" out here...beautiful!) I LOVE to cook and bake, and love anything that looks, tastes, smells, or even closely resembles a veggie. I LOVE moo-cows, and therefore, cannot bring myself to eat any part of the adorable critters (i.e. NO RED MEAT!!) I love the outdoors, and pride myself on being the master griller on the fire pit. My mother's side of the family is 100% Polish, so I have an inborn passion for cooking...unfortunately, along with that comes a love of eating, too!! But, hey..u only live once, so I say "EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY!!!"
