Another childhood favorite--to my taste the best batido Cubano. Fresh guanabana is not so easy to find, but you can find frozen gaunabana in Latino groceries. To reduce calories and fat, you can use skim milk and frozen vanilla yogurt.
- 1 cup custard apple, pulp, frozen (guanabana)
- 1⁄2 cup milk, cold
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- In a blender, combine all ingredients.
- Blend on high until smooth and frothy.
This shake is FABULOUS!!! I never thought about using a custard apple to make a shake, but now that I have I will share this recipe with my DH's family who has better access to these lovely delights! This shake rules! :) thanks!!!!
