I got this recipe from a Pillsbury cookbook long ago. DH and I love these and find ourselves mixing these up quite often. I like to garnish the glasses with lime wedges. Gin isn't aged, so it was a popular choice for bootleggers during prohibition. The homemade spirit was called "bathtub gin", hence the name of the drink.
- 2 liters 7-up
- 12 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 1⁄2 cup lime juice
- 1⁄4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 1⁄4 cups gin
- In large punch bowl, combine 7-up, lemonade concentrate, lime juice and powdered sugar; stir to blend.
- Gently stir in gin.
- Serve over ice in tall glasses.
