This is a great little quick-fix sangria! I made a single serving (ok a couple of them) by squeezing a quarter of a lemon, then adding the appropriate amounts of water, white and red wines. Enjoyed this - thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for ZWT8, Chefs gone WILD!
This is a good sangria, though the lemon is subtle. I wasn't totally sure of the intention of the instructions, so I peeled the lemon for the soaking and then sliced the remaining lemon for the chilling part (and then let it sit for 4 hours, so it would have some time to be infused with the flavor). I removed the rinds after the 24 hours so it wouldn't become too bitter. For more of a lemonade feel, I think adding some lemon juice and more sugar would be a great addition to this drink.

I wouldn't have thought to mix red and white wines, but this is really good with the lemon - tastes more like sangria than a wine cooler. Great idea!
