I have NEVER been able to make rice for some reason...too sticky, too hard...This rice turns out perfectly for me everytime!! Who knew it was that simple? Truly delicious...Thanks for sharing!
First time I have ever made basmati like this anbd it is perfect for making a large quantity. Great taste, just like restaurant rice. Loved it. Notes-- I used much less butter, and only 51% fat butter at that and it was still excellent. Otherwise, made exactly as written.
I LOVE rice and this is an excellent version to make. Yummo!
Deelish! And I loved the oven preparation. Will definitely make again.
This is lovely, and just as nice cold! thanks for sharing
Excellant recipe! I wouldn't change a thing. If you are serving this as a side dish, it would serve 8. This recipe makes alot. Super simple recipe.
This was wonderful, it went great with Rogan Josh that I made for friends. The recipe was simple and yet produced a great result. In fact my DH said it was the best rice I had ever made. Will be making this one again soon. Thanks Carla for sharing
I loved this recipe! These were the best rice I've ever had! In stead of using the oven I just let the rice boil on the stove until all the water was absorbed - then I let it rest for 10 minutes. It was perfect! Thanks Brian!
This was excellent served with dal curry. Very simple to make and tasted just fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent rice dish to have with our curry. It was simple to make, tasted great and freed up a burner. I'll be making this again thanks Carla. I only cheated a little, I added stock powder at the end of step 4, then poured already boiling water over the rice before stirring and popping it all in the oven. I have found rice cooks better this way.
