A hearty flavorful rice. Use in Indian cooking. Is not overpowered by spices.
- Bring water, salt, and butter to a boil.
- Stir in rice with a fork.
- Bring back to a boil, then cut heat to simmer, to prevent "boiling over". (Do not be tempted to remove lid -- this can cause gummy rice.).
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Made this last night to go with Recipe#97573 (Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)). It was very easy and the rice wasn't gummy at all.
