I found this on a Greek recipe site. It looks a lot like a feta spread that I have had a Greek restaurant I love, so anxious to try.
- 1 lb feta cheese
- 1 cup basil leaves, loosely packed
- 1⁄4 cup chives, chopped
- 2 -3 garlic cloves
- olive oil
- Process basil and and chives in food processor until fine. Add feta and garlic until well mixed. Add enough olive oil to make spreadable.
- Spread on bread, crostini, or little pizzas, dollop on pasta, or add to soups or vegetables.
Absolutely delicious! I didn't have fresh chives so instead I used Galloping Garlic seasoning, which has chives in it. I'll definitely be making this again!
I guess the consistency was perfect cause I forgot to add olive oil LOL It was great with pita chips grilled on the bbq. Great taste. I'll do it again. Thanks Iewe :) Made for Potluck tag
We LOVED this! I cut the recipe in half, but did use 2 garlic cloves. Also used basil and chives from my herb garden. Made with Lime and Chili Pita Chips and they were perfect together! Thanks for posting, iewe. Made for ZWT 6.
