Basic Waffles

"Very basic waffle recipe I got from a cookbook owned by a friend. I don't remember the name of the cookbook but these are the best crispest waffles I've made... so far. You might want to put sugar or splenda in the batter as well if you want to make it sweet."

  1. Perfect waffles, what more can I say.

  2. I was a little skeptical but these came out great. My 3 and 7 yr old scarfed them down, while hubby silently kept shoveling them in. I followed the directions. I think I am now free of the Bisquick beast! Thanks!

This is a picture of me from about the time I started experimenting with cooking. Once I put peanut butter in Dream Whip (a Cool Whip type product you make from a powder with milk that was very popular in the Midwest when I was growing up) and invented peanut butter Dream Whip and tried to hide it in the back of the refrigerator. My mom found it and announced at dinner that I had made the most wonderful dessert topping! I think she put it on chocolate cake that night. It was very fun.
