A great basic sauce recipe for the novice canner or an old pro like me! I only got 4 500 ml jars but my food scale may be a little off or my sauce is a little thicker. There was a wee bit left in the bottom of the pot which I taste-tested after it cooled - delicious & definitely worthy of 5 stars. Thanx Sharon!people found this review Helpful. Sharon this is a great, simple recipe. The directions are simple and if you had a basic knowledge of canning this would be a cinch to do. I am making this again only this time in quart jars and with some oregano and garlic added. I did use mostly fresh basil also. If you are a first time canner just make sure to have your jars clean and steralized and hot, and to keep your water boiing while processing. Also dont tighten the lids tight when boiling or you could have a mess! Good basic sauces recipe!!! Thanks.people found this review Helpful.
