directions

  • Combine the sea salts, baking soda, and Epsom salts in a bowl.
  • Stir to blend.
  • Pour 1/4 cup or so into the bath while the tub is filling.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons glycerin to keep your skin from drying out (more for dry skin, less for oily skin) and essential oils of choice.
  • Be sure to keep the glycerin and essential oils separate, adding them only to each bath and not the dry mixture.
  • Store any unused mixture in a glass jar with a screw top (I use mayonnaise jars).

  1. i made 100 pounds of bath salts for my local m.o.p.s. group and although this is not my recipe i just wanted to caution people that the vendor i bought my essential oils from warned me of potential hazards to pregnant women and small children...not to scare you off though...bath salts are wonderful. :0)

  2. I made a big jar of this mix for my fiance to use every night with different oils. I honestly believe it helps him get a better nights sleep. Thank you for sharing this...it is WONDERFUL.

  3. Thought I had reviewed but no. Love, Love, Love this recipe but when 4 different stores were out of glycerine, I substituted. I have another book that uses Corn Oil to re-moistureize dry hair and decided to try it. I liked it better than glycerine. and so much cheaper. I'll have to check back as I can't get a star to appear. This is a 5 star recipe

  4. I made this minus the Epsom salts. I used Lavender and Rosewood essential oils 10 drops each kind. Very Relaxing and nice.

  5. This is great. I tried this with peppermint essential oil and it left my skin feeling very cool(a constant cooling as though the Air Conditioner is blowing on my palms), soft and silky-smooth. Thanks for a GREAT basic easy-to-follow and wonderfully good recipe!

I work as a professional stagehand for my local union (IATSE Local 26, West Michigan Stagehands), which takes me all over the state and lets me meet all sorts of interesting people. My primary training is in lighting and wardrobe, and I can be found backstage at everything from rock concerts to opera/ballet/symphony/Broadway tour performances to hockey games to corporate meetings and Presidential appearances. In June of 2005, my Local elected me to serve as a delegate to our International convention in mid-July, which was held in Honolulu. In November of 2008, I was elected to my third three-year term as Recording Secretary of my union local. Currently, I am the news poster for www.megatechnews, a computer tech site affiliated with several other tech sites. My biggest passion is union activism. The more I get involved, the more I want to be involved. I also read like a fiend and enjoy "discovering" local or regional bands at local clubs. Recently, I started making jewelry again after a more than ten-year hiatus. It started as a project for Christmas presents, but doing it reminded me how much I enjoy it, so I may be resurrecting my business soon. I never duplicate a piece, because the entire point is that I do custom work, and will take orders to suit. The pieces I have done are in a photo album on Facebook located here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=21364&id=1373365950&l=5be410742d
