Enjoyed this this evening. I added thinly sliced sharp cheddar cheese before folding omlet in half. Very good. Thanks for posting Sackville.

This is wonderful! I just needed a basic recipe for making omelettes for my kids last night. This made 5 perfect omlettes and I am glad to know the secret now. :)

This is fantastic. Too easy and simple, no jargons. i used this recipe for 5 people and it worked out very well. They liked it and wanted to know where i got this simple recipe. I fried onion and mushroom with butter before adding eggs and sprinkled with cheese. Taste great.

Perfect, I was hungry so used 3 eggs, and then added feta and dill as they are my favourites too!!
Quick and easy..thanks!
Thank you for posting this! I love omelettes but embarassingly enough, I never knew how to make them. I added cheese and sun-dried tomatoes to mine, and will use this recipe with lots of other fillings

I gave this 5 stars. My fiance loves Omelettes. I do not. I'm rating this on his rating. I make his omelette almost like this except I add some milk to the eggs and I place green peppers and onions in his omelette. He says my omelette tastes just like the restaurants. Thanks for posting! This is a reliable quick recipe for a basic perfect omelette. Have made it several times, it turns out perfect every time. Nice with a different filler everytime too. I put the feta, dill and salt and pepper in with the eggs before whisking them, then add the main filler when almost done and ready to turn half over. This time I used asparagus and tomato slices. We had it for a nice light supper with toast. Thanks for sharing one we use often.

Basic doesn't necessarity mean bland; this was a very tasty breakfast! I seasoned the eggs with a little salt and pepper, and used brie cheese and basil for the filling. Mmmmmm!

Personally, I've found some water makes the omelette fluffier, but this is still a good basic and errorproof recipe. Love experimenting with the stuffings - each combo is a new recipe!

One of the things I have never been able to make is an omelette. They always end up being a variant of scrambled eggs. Until now. So THAT'S the trick! Pleased to say my omelette came out looking like the one in the photo :)
