  1. In a blender or food processor combine the garbanzo beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, oil, and salt. Cover and blend or process until smooth, scraping sides as necessary.
  2. Spoon the hummus onto a serving platter. If desired garnish with pine nuts. Sprinkle with parsley.
