This is a delicious and basic bread recipe and it is so easy because you just dump everything into your breadmachine and go! If you are looking for a basic white bread that has great flavor, then this recipe is for you!
- 2⁄3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 3 cups bread machine flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
- Put everything into your bread machine according to manufacturers directions and use the white bread cycle!
I made this bread and it came out beautifully. Actually my profile picture is the bread from this recipe. I did,however, add a little bit more milk to the recipe.
This is the best tasting bread. I mmake it all the time. My husband is picky and this bread wows him. Great for any type of sandwich.
I followed the recipe however I added 1 Tbls. Wheat Gluten to the Bread flour. I also heated the milk to 120 degrees, added the butter to melt. I also added 1 Tbls. Buttermilk powder. A pinch of Ginger (activates the yeast faster than sugar). I omitted the sugar and added Honey Powder. I'm "Fat" conscience I used Non-fat milk. The eggs, 2 large is 10 grams of fat but with this loaf it fit a five pound bread pan, enough bread to give half to friends and family. The texture of the bread is great, light and fluffy. Recently a friend (I'm a PA at a local hospital) told me about organic gluten, I'm hooked. Many believe if they cut out the gluten (not those who have Celiac Disease) they'll lose weight, NOT TRUE. If you like bread and eat a lot of course you'll gain weight without exercise. Enjoy the gluten, it's very good for you.
