Basic Butter Icing
"Butter Icing can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days. Just beat again before using. This recipe makes enough for a 9" layer cake."

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 5 cups icing sugar
- 2⁄3 cup whipping cream
directions
- Beat butter at medium speed til light.
- Gradually beat in sugar and cream, making 3 additions of sugar and 2 of cream.
- This recipe makes about 4 cups.

I love to cook and so I am thrilled that I found recipezaar. I work as an educational assistant in a food school so I am around food all day long. I have four children, three of which have already flown the coop so to speak but I still have my 'baby' at home. (He's 21).
