  1. Cook onions in oil until soft.
  2. Add broth and barley and bring to a boil.
  3. Add salt, cover, and simmer on low 5 minutes.
  4. Add broccoli, cover and simmer until brocooli is tender, about 5 more minutes.
  5. Stir in beans and heat until hot.
