  • Melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Add barley and stir until coated with butter.
  • Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Cover. Turn heat to simmer and cook 10-12 minutes or until barley is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
