Very good and interesting recipe for cabbage rolls which we enjoyed. I had more barley mixture than cabbage leaves so I just added it to the crock pot on top of the cabbage rolls. I also used white grape juice instead of the apple juice -- the apple juice would probably have been better and next time I make these I will make sure to have some apple juice in the house! Thanks for sharing!

A nice and pleasant dish. I've given it four stars because my husband rated it a 5 and my kids a 3. At first, they refused to eat it but when I persuaded them to, they were pleasantly surprised. "Not bad! Not wonderful, but not bad!" A minus point was the 1 1/2 hours to precook the barley, which I didn't realise at the time.
