    This is from the November/December issue of Quick Cooking and my husband, who is not usually a meatball fan, absolutely loves these. I've made them more times than I can count for our family and for guests.

    Ingredients:

    Serves: 10-12

    Yield:

    dozen

    Units: US | Metric

    Sauce

    Directions:

    1. 1
      In a bowl, combine the first eight ingredients.
    2. 2
      Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
    3. 3
      Shape into 1" balls.
    4. 4
      Place in a greased 13" X 9" X 2" baking dish.
    5. 5
      Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 18 - 20 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
    6. 6
      Meanwhile, combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.

      Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
    8. 8
      Pour over meatballs.
    9. 9
      Bake 10 - 12 minutes longer.

      Great meatballs. I used milk instead of evaporated milk and also used the optional liquid smoke. It adds a wonderful taste to the sauce. Thanks for posting. Made for Name that ingredient tag game

      Easy to do and came out sweet, tender, and beautiful. The entire tray of glistening meatballs is a sight to see! My DH loved these, too. Made for Pick A Chef, April 09.
