Barbecued Meatballs

This is from the November/December issue of Quick Cooking and my husband, who is not usually a meatball fan, absolutely loves these. I've made them more times than I can count for our family and for guests.

Great meatballs. I used milk instead of evaporated milk and also used the optional liquid smoke. It adds a wonderful taste to the sauce. Thanks for posting. Made for Name that ingredient tag game

  1. In a bowl, combine the first eight ingredients.
  2. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
  3. Shape into 1" balls.
  4. Place in a greased 13" X 9" X 2" baking dish.
  5. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 18 - 20 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
  6. Meanwhile, combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  8. Pour over meatballs.
  9. Bake 10 - 12 minutes longer.
