Barbecued Chicken from the Oven

A delicious barbecued chicken dish that is flour coated and oven cooked prior to the barbecue sauce being added. It's a wonderful and easy dish with a little "kick" from the chili powder to serve to your entire family.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place butter or margarine in 13 x 9 pan and set in oven only long enough for butter or margarine to melt. Watch carefully so you don't burn it! It won't take long to melt.
  3. Mix the flour, paprika, salt and pepper well in zip-type plastic bag. Shake chicken to coat in the mixture.
  4. Place chicken skin side down in pan and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  5. Mix ketchup, onion, water, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, chili powder and pepper. Combine well.
  6. Remove chicken from oven and turn the pieces over. Brush or spoon sauce on top of meat and bake 30 minutes more.
  7. Enjoy!
