This is the best barbecued chicken that I have ever eaten! Just spicy enough to please the masses! There is a little learning curve with the gas grill to get the temperature right... but once you do, this is super easy to make!
Great for summer barbecues, superbowl parties, etc. Thigh meat leftovers made the best chicken soup, too!
Thanks for the fantastic recipe!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. This was amazing. Followed the recipe pretty much exactly. Such a lovely crispy skin and nice flavour on the inside. I used a dual beer can cooker on the grill and did another kind of can chicken next to it. Love the blend of flavours in the rub and glaze. This is a keeper!

This chicken was amazing. I only fixed one, but used the same amount of spice rub and glaze and just doubled up on the one chicken I fixed. It turned out perfect. DH said it had just the right amount of spice. So yummy. Thanks for sharing.

this is a great recipe...i changed it up just a bit because i was short on a few ingredients...instead of 2 tblsp of ketchup i did 1 and 1 of chili sauce and added more hot sauce to the glaze...it gave it some GREAT heat without being too spicy!! this is DEFINATELY a keeper!!

Only after prepping the chicken did I see there was NO way it would fit sitting up in the barbecue. Oh well..still turned out great in the oven at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours. Very easy, very tasty.

Very good and moist. I made it in the oven at 350 for 2 hours but the drip pan was hell to clean. Rub was great. I will make it again on barbecue.

This chicken rocked!!!! The best ever chicken is from Costco and my husband rated this one up there as a close second!!! I bought a roaster from Costco that looked like a wok, so while the bird was roasting, I surrounded it with veggies. I cut the recipe in half as I was only cooking for 4...and this was plenty. My cooking time was off because I am still trying to figure out our new barbecue, so that was my bad! If (!) I am going to drink beer, I am going to have Corono (I guess it has something to do with the lime and drinking it out of the bottle!!!). I cleaned a pop can, punched holes in it and filled it with the beer. I placed a tin foil tray under the bird to catch any drippings...which also helped the veggies cook. This recipe has taste...5 stars for being easy....presentation was wonderful, with nice crispy skin....and instructions were excellent. Wonderful recipe, Wicked!!!

Loved this chicken! I did have a few problems preparing it tho, LOL! First, the chicken, I think, did not have an unbroken bone in its body!!! Therefore, it would not stay upright on the beer can... I did have another kitchen gadget that was made for just that, and it worked. So, that was set in a metal pan, and the beer & bay leaves were added to the pan. The result was to die for. Next time, I will try to find a chicken with no broken bones! Thanks for the great recipe, we loved it!

Have made tortured chicken many times and loved it, so when I saw this I knew it would be good also. The ingredients were all there to be delish. I do believe this was a little more moist than my chicken usually is when made this way. I did follow your advice to make more holes in the beer can, plus basting before done was new for me. We thought this was just great!I did bake it in the oven for 2 hours at 350 because my chickens were very large. I think this recipe will replace my tortured chicken. Thanx for great addition.

Fantastic recipe! It's getting a little cold up here in the north for grilling now (late November)but I did everything as described and popped it into a 375F oven for the same amount of time and the result was out of this world!!! Even the leftovers were juicy and moist the next day!
