A very simple, tender and tasty barbecued beef dish. It is really tender when I cook it in my Pampered Chef deep dish covered baker. Prep time does not include marinating time.
- 1 (4 -5 lb) beef brisket
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1⁄2 cup catsup
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons liquid smoke
- Mix last four ingredients together and pour over the beef brisket.
- Marinate several hours or overnight. Cover completely with foil or use covered baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 4 hours.
- Cool, slice and enjoy.
Really easy and smelled great while cooking. Meat came out very tender and falling apart, more like a pot roast than brisket you'd serve in slices. Would add some rub seasoning before cooking next time. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for PAC Fall 2008
