This is HOT!! You can tame it some by adding more water as you use it. Try it on ribs!
- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄4 cup salt
- 1⁄4 cup black pepper
- 1⁄4 cup chili pepper
- 1⁄4 cup red pepper
- 1⁄2 cup prepared mustard
- 1⁄3 cup paprika
- 2 cups vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup water
- Mix sugar, spices and mustard into a paste. Add vinegar and water.
- Boil slowly 30 minutes. Stir frequently.
- To use: Mix 1 part paste, 1 part vinegar and.
- 1 part water.
- Keeps a long time (100 years)!
I made this up for beef ribs for my husband and he loved it! I did leave out the chili peppers, so it wouldn't be hot, but the pepper still gave it a lot of kick! Thanks!
