Barbecue Rub for Beer Can Chicken

"This BBQ rub is really flavorful and very simple to make. I triple this recipe and store it in an airtight container. It's also great on beef or pork."

  1. For all the 5-star reviews this rub got, I was expecting it to be outstanding, but it was just okay. It made enough rub to cover the whole chicken, and smelled absolutely delicious while cooking, but it just didn't have enough salt in it, and I don't think the brown sugar in it complimented the chicken very well. It was definitely the best smelling chicken I've ever cooked though! :) Thanks!

  2. Outstanding! Used it on our beer can chicken and it made a delicious, cruncy crust. Will definately make again and use on other items. Thanks.

I live in south eastern Louisiana where we have the best food in the world! I've always loved to cook ever since I was a little girl and my grandmothers, Nannie and Maw Maw T, were very influential to me. I enjoy making dishes from scratch and using old fashioned recipes - it's always worth the effort. My husband & I love to barbecue several times a week since we love to be outdoors. I love to entertain friends and family on weekends.
