  1. Used pork mince, family preference and they were enjoyed by all. Nice, subtle BBQ flavour, without being too strong. Would also be great as little meatballs for a party.

  2. We thought these burgers were a nice change from our usual. I used 3 cloves of garlic and 4 teaspoons of chili powder. The spicy flavor was great. We grilled our burgers and they were moist and juicy. Thank you Lorac for posting your recipe.

  3. I made half recipe and got 4 burgers. This burger is so different in taste than the other burgers I tried. My son is fussy for burgers but this one, he ate it without any problem. I used more Dijon mustard. We all enjoyed these burgers. Thanks Lorac :) Made for PAC Spring 2010

  4. These burgers are pretty good. Nice flavor of barbecue that makes it a little different.

  5. This is a great recipe - my man loved the burgers. I'm cooking for two (now that all the babes are out of the nest) so I used less than half the amount of ground beef. I cut the rest of the ingredients in half and it still turned out wonderfully!

Tweaks

  1. We were out of soy sauce so we used Worcester sauce instead. We also used a squirt of lemon juice instead of lemon zest. They were wonderful; moist, juicy and very, very tasty. We made a large batch and wrapped a number of patties to freeze.
