A friend of ours made these for us and my husband went wild. I have since made these for family gatherings and everyone always requests the recipe. My grandmother even requested the recipe to make for her church group, which was a big compliment for me. I like to serve them with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad.
- Mix together meatball ingredients.
- Shape into tennis ball sized balls.
- Put into large greased casserole dish.
- Mix together sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs.
- Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour.
My mom made these for us and my husband and two boys (7yrs & 4ys) went crazy!!! Can't wait to make it myself. I loved them too!!! They even tasted great the next day!!! My mom served them over some yummy egg noodles it was delicious!!!
This recipe is a favorite of mine from the 80's. The recipe was passed around my workplace at the time. Makes a great potluck meat dish!
I had a bag full of frozen italian meatballs. I dumped them in a crockpot on low for 4 hours and poured the sauce over them. The sauce was fantastic. My husband loved it. I loved it. My 8 year old loved it. I will make this again very easy. Next time I will try making the meatballs. I am sure they will be great also
