Love this idea! I normally leave mine in the peel but I never thought to peel them beforehand. This makes it easier and less messy trying to peel the banana. I used them for banana bread. Made for I Recommend Tag Game 2012.

Absolutely a great idea, especially for those of us who either make smoothies regularly or who are happy enough to just mash up some of those frozen bananas, then pour a little ice cream topping over a bowl of 'em & enjoy! [Made & reviewed for the closing of Pick A Chef event]

I do this all the time but I don't peel them before hand. I buy over ripe banana's at the grocery store for a reduced price then put them in the freezer until I want to make banana bread. So easy to do and the banana is the right consistancy for baking. Try it!!

Great idea! I too have been putting the whole bananas, skin and all, in the freezer which is a pain to peel! Now they are easy to put right into a smoothie and I know that it will be easier to use them for baking as well. Thanks LadyOutlaw! :)

This is great! I am used to putting them in the freezer, but I end up putting them in whole. This way doesn't take up nearly the room. And great idea about freezing in 1 cup measurements too!

This is a wonderful way to preserve bananas that are too ripe to eat fresh. I've been saving bananas for banana bread this way for years now.
