Bananas Foster Milkshake

"Saw this and just had to try it! Sounds perfect for the summer! From Bobby Flay - (**My Note: It is possible to substitute the rum for rum flavoring (or extract) - I'd say 1 drop, maybe 2, depending on your taste.**)"

• Yields: 1 milkshake
• Serves: 1

ingredients

• 1 banana, overly ripe, peeled and cut into chunks
• 59.14 ml caramel sauce, plus more for garnish
• 0.25 ml ground cinnamon
• 14.79 ml dark rum
• 78.78 ml whole milk
• 283.49 g vanilla ice cream
• whipped cream, for garnish
• banana, slices for garnish

directions

1. In a blender, combine the banana, caramel sauce, cinnamon, rum, and milk and blend until smooth.
2. Add the ice cream and blend until incorporated.
3. Pour into a tall glass, and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream, a few slices of banana and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
4. Serve immediately!

"Alligirl, this was terrific. So much flavor, wow. I really enjoyed the combination of cinnamon and caramel, so yummy. The flavor from the frozen banana shines thru beautifully. It was perfectly balanced sweet and refreshing, with a hint of rum. This made a lovely lunch and really helped to cool me down. Thanks for sharing this lovely treat that I will make again.
