    Directions:

      In small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

      Saute walnuts in butter until they just begin to brown.
    3. 3
      Add bananas; stir to coat with butter mixture.
    4. 4
      Stir in syrup, reduce heat to low.
    5. 5
      Serve warm.

      Wonderful recipe for a topping on anything! Bananas go so well with walnuts. YUMO!! Prepared for the Cookathon for KelBel January 2009.

      I threw the bananas in the blender to make a smooth paste then added the butter and syrup. I left out the nuts, but used a 1/4 t black walnut flavor. It made a nice smooth syrup without comments of "chunks" in my syrup. Everyone loved it. I think this would also be good over ice cream.
