A chilled soup that is creamy and smooth! Great for a hot summer day! African origin, but bananas grow in the tropics and so this recipe is Caribbean and Southern too!
This was a nice cold soup with a great fruity flavour. It was quick and easy to make and the taste was very refreshing. I used pumpkin pie spice in place of plain nutmeg and liked that a lot. Also I left out the heavy cream as I thought it would be too rich for breakfast (which is when I ate my soup). THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your recipe with us, Sharon! Reminds me more of a smoothie than a soup -- but very good!! Rich and smooth. The thought crossed my mind of freezing this into popsicle molds, so might try that soon :)
