A delicious and healthy drink.
- 2 bananas
- 1⁄4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cups milk
- ground nutmeg
- Put the bananas in a blender or food processor.
- Add the yoghurt, honey, wheat germ, milk and nutmeg.
- Process or blend until smooth.
- Taste before serving and add more honey if you like.
Loooooooooong time ago, I had also posted Banana Shake recipe which used Vanilla icecream and I loved the same despite heavy cal content. But, this one really came out different thanks to a different pick of ingredients. Thanks for posting the same. :-))
This has great flavour & quick to mix up. I did use a low fat fruit yoghurt tho as thats all I had in fridge. Will be a regular breakfast in my house. Thanks for posting Cheers :)
This made and excellent breakfast on the run for Little Miss (DD). I used lactose free plain yoghurt and lactose free milk. I then kept to the recipe, except added the ground nutmeg as a garnish as well as in the smoothie. Little Miss really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting your recipe Terese
