This is posted in response to a request from another member. I suspect that the peanuts could be optional.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 3 -4 bananas, sliced
- 1 cup Spanish peanut
- In top of a double boiler mix except bananas and peanuts.
- Mix well and cook until thick.
- Alternate layers of bananas, dressing and peanuts.
My Great Grandma used to make this and it has been handed down in the family. So delicious!
