What a yummy pie!! This was my first time making "real" banana cream pie. Previously had only tried the pudding/cool whip kind. This was so easy and sooo tasty! I loved the bittersweet chocolate in there, really makes this a stand-out.

DELICIOUS!!! I left the nuts out too as I don't care for them. This was a hit at my Uncle's Birthday party!!! Simply delectable!!!

Unfortunately I didn't follow the directions . . . baked the pie crust before looking at the recipe, so I had to do some adjusting. Made the custard on top of the stove . . . doing it this way I did have to add a little corn starch, but it worked out. Since I'd already baked the pie shell decided to make a chocolate ganache to put on the bottom. Melted the chocolate in the microwave with a couple tablespoons of cream, then spread on the bottom of the prebaked crust. From there I followed the recipe and it was excellent! Thanks for another great recipe Mirj.
