What a yummy pie!! This was my first time making "real" banana cream pie. Previously had only tried the pudding/cool whip kind. This was so easy and sooo tasty! I loved the bittersweet chocolate in there, really makes this a stand-out.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Unfortunately I didn't follow the directions . . . baked the pie crust before looking at the recipe, so I had to do some adjusting. Made the custard on top of the stove . . . doing it this way I did have to add a little corn starch, but it worked out. Since I'd already baked the pie shell decided to make a chocolate ganache to put on the bottom. Melted the chocolate in the microwave with a couple tablespoons of cream, then spread on the bottom of the prebaked crust. From there I followed the recipe and it was excellent! Thanks for another great recipe Mirj.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are.
