Moist , cake-like and VERY much like eating chocolate banana bread! My bananas weren't completely mashed , so I have some pieces throughout the brownies ... Bake time was right on for me , and they are definitely a stickier type brownie , but they are really good. My photo will show really dark , because I always use black cocoa to make anything that calls for cocoa ... Good easy recipe! Made for Fall PAC '08

We enjoyed these, but I did have some difficulties. It was really hard to incorporate the oatmeal by just stirring, there were big lumps of oatmeal that the kids didn't like. I cooked it longer than was stated, but didn't want to overcook it as the directions said specifically not to. But even though it was cooked through, they were super sticky and not as easy to eat on the beach as I had wanted. I would have also liked a little more chocolate taste. Now, that said, these have good flavor and the nutritionals are good, and I'm always happy to find yet another way to use all my leftover bananas!

I loved this! I would call it Chocolate Banana Bread Bars, but it was very good no matter what you call it. I cooked for 30 minutes, but my oven always takes a little longer. The balance of cocoa and banana flavors were very good. I left some chunks in my bananas (3 medium - didn't bother to measure) and it was very good like that. You could see and feel and taste them. I would consider replacing the oil with applesauce to make it slightly less fatty, but I think it would make a big difference in taste. I resubmitted the servings to make 24 2X2 squares, which means it is 2 points per sqaure for ww.
