Good little recipe! I cut back on the sugar (1/4 cup of each) and it was plenty! Added a dash of cinnamon, too. Only needed to cook for about 27 minutes, so I would say keep an eye on them- 30 might be too long.
I made a few amendments - * Added a teaspoon of vanilla essence. * Used self-raising flour, instead of bothering with the plain flour/baking soda combo. * Cooked batter in a square cake tin instead of a muffin tin. * Because of the above, had to bake for 45 minutes. But it looks, smells and tastes amazing! Will make again. Thank you :-)
My new favorite muffin recipe! I used the one commenter's suggestion of adding 1/2 c. rolled oats and applesauce, but instead of applesauce, I did 1/2 c. pumpkin! Delish and a family fave!
These muffins taste delicious! I of course added extra chocolate chips and I did have to take them out about 10 minutes earlier than the recipe calls for but I will be using this recipe again!
OMG! Wow these were way better than I expected. I added 1/2 cup oats and 1/2 tsp vanilla and probably put more chocolate chips than it called for.only baked for 22mins. Super moist and the oats and walnuts add nice texture. I'm gonna double up next time and give some to family and friends :)
I love these. I also added applesauce and oats. And extra chocolate. This wa easy and awesome!
yummy when making didn't even realise I wasn't putting in any butter or oil and they came out so moist. Must admit I did increase the amount of chocolate chips substantially :-)
Delicious recipe but I'd definitely start by cooking these for 20 minutes first before going the full 30 minutes. My first batch was tough compared to my second batch. It's probably just my stove but it's something that may happen to others!
Turned out delicious, i added pecans instead of walnuts. The only thing is i only got tops of the muffin. The rest stuck like glue to the paper. Maybe i should have used oil spray on the muffin papercups???
These tasted good, but they didn't rise as much as I thought they would. Also, they browned quickly, but I had to leave them in the oven because they weren't done. So they were a bit tough on top. Still, I would make them again. I'm not sure what happened this time.
