Mix flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside.

Beat margarine until smooth. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Beat in banana and Splenda for one minute. Add flour mixture, beat until well blended, Stir in chips.

Spread evenly in greased 8-inch square baking pan.

Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool. Cut into bars.

OPTIONAL: Sprinkle with additional rolled oats, before baking.
Made this today, what a great and simple recipe! Had all the ingredients on hand, too. The oatmeal is a great addition and I also sprinkled some on top.
The only changes I made were to line my baking dish with parchment, and I did use sugar instead of Splenda, since I had that on hand.
Will definitely make this again!
