  • Mix flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
  • Beat margarine until smooth. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Beat in banana and Splenda for one minute. Add flour mixture, beat until well blended, Stir in chips.
  • Spread evenly in greased 8-inch square baking pan.
  • Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool. Cut into bars.
  • OPTIONAL: Sprinkle with additional rolled oats, before baking.

  1. Made this today, what a great and simple recipe! Had all the ingredients on hand, too. The oatmeal is a great addition and I also sprinkled some on top. The only changes I made were to line my baking dish with parchment, and I did use sugar instead of Splenda, since I had that on hand. Will definitely make this again!

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
