Caramel Sauce (Dulce de leche):
- Take the paper off the 2 cans of Condensed sweet milk.
- Place UNOPENED cans in a crockpot, covering completely with water. Set the crockpot on low and cook 8 to 10 hours. Remove cans from the crockpot and let cool some prior to opening (you can run the cans under colld water for a few minutes as well). This will releive the little bit of pressure in the can. The sweet condensed milk will now be caramelized and ready to use. You can also use any other caramel recipe you have or store bought, but I find this method the tastiest.
- Buy (or make) a graham cracker crust (in a pir tin).
- Spread 1/2 of the caramel in the bottom . Place half of the sliced bananas, next. Then layer the remaining caramel sauce followed by the remaining bananas. Next, add a final layer of with cool whip. The final step is to grate chocolate on top. Chill for at least an hour and serve.
