Banana Cake Extraordinaire

"Easy to make and moist and delicious. Can't tell that it isn't made from scratch. Frost with chocolate, cream cheese or peanut butter frosting."

ingredients

• 1 (18 ounce) pkge. butter recipe cake mix or (18 ounce) yellow cake mix
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2⁄3 cup sour cream
• 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
• 3 eggs
• 2 bananas, very large and very ripe, mashed or 3 medium bananas, very ripe and mashed
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

1. Combine cake mix and baking soda. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed for 1 minute.
2. Beat on medium speed for 4-5 minutes.
3. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch layer cake pans.
4. Bake at 350 degress for 30-35 minutes or until center of cake springs back when lightly tapped. A toothpick in the center may leave a slight crumb.
5. Cool on wire rack and frost.
