I got this recipe sometime back from a Fleischmann's yeast package, and I have been making this bread ever since. If you enjoy working with yeast, then this is one that you should try, this bread is really good! Prep time includes rising time.

  2. Grease 2 (8-1/2 x 4-1/2-inch) loaf pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together 1-1/4 cups flour, with 1/2 cup sugar, salt and undissolved yeast.
  4. Heat the evaporated milk, water and margarine OR butter to 120F-130F (the margarine need NOT melt).
  5. Add to dry ingredients; beat for 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.

  14. Bake for 25-35 minutes.
  15. Cool.

Very good bread! First time I ever had yeast banana bread and we really liked it! I made 1 regular size loaf, 1 med loaf and 1 individual loaf, so was able to freeze 2 for another day! Thanks for sharing!
