    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Cream sugar and shortening together.
    2. 2
      Add eggs and blend well.
    3. 3
      Add soda to mashed bananas.
    4. 4
      Stir flour into mixture alternately with the banana mixture.
    5. 5
      Add salt and buttermilk.
    6. 6
      Bake in greased and floured pans - 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until done when tested with a toothpick.

      I made this last night for our family to get rid of some over ripe bananas and it is delicious. Very simple to make - I put it in two smaller bread pans and they looked great!

      I just made this tonight and doubled the recipe because I had a lot of bananas to use. I'm so glad that I went ahead and did that because it's wonderful and I know it will go quickly!
